Sly and romantic signed Antoinette Clark postcard series 183, entitled 'A Summer Girl's Diary', depicting one young woman's secret spooning with a certain gentleman during her Summer Holiday! This card, #2783, shows our girl with her gentleman on a balcony in a glorious evening dress, as the other couples at a gala move about the floor as seen through the open window. He eagerly kisses her raised hand and embraces her tightly as she silently begins to swoon. Her diary entry later reads: 'The Dancing Is Fine Here'...isn't that divine? The artwork is signed in the brown area underneath the couple. The 'Copyright Ullman Manufacturing Co. NY' is also faintly stamped along the edge of the border. The divided back card published by American Colorgravure is in Very Good condition, postally unused, with no writing or stains. Inconsequential creases from album mounting to the front at the bottom left and right visible from the verso. Minor soil to the white front borders, bumped tips. Shipped in a rigid sleeve and waterproof mailer for a safe journey.
