Gorgeous Antique French Porcelain Snuff or Patch Box

This gorgeous little porcelain snuff or patch box has a wonderful hand painted romance scene of a couple fishing in a rich, deep red. The box was part of a collection of French snuff or patch boxes collected by a wealthy family of world travelers whose estate was sold in our area. I have not been able to identify the tiny mark on the bottom (stylized "F"?). However, it appears very similar to one in Kovel's Dictionary of Marks that indicates it may be Moustiers from France, c 1775. This would be in keeping with the other boxes in this collection. The box is in very good condition for its age with only one small circular spot of porcelain missing on the inside rim of the lid. The hinge works well but the clasp does not catch securely. The box measures 2.75" long, 1" wide and 1.25" high.
